Northcrest was founded in Manurewa back in 1986 by Dave Tilleyshort and two colleagues. They decided it was time to start a brokerage that offered a full range of insurance products for their clients with personalised service and was independent from any other insurance company. Fast forward thirty years to today and this foundation has remained. Today Northcrest is lead by Gerard Tilleyshort who is passionate about helping small and medium sized businesses succeed. With an emphasis on you as the client and a strong understanding through experience of what it takes to run a successful SME, Gerard and his team are focused on understanding your situation, whether it is personal or business and offering the right solution. Northcrest offers a full service in fire & general, life and home finance.
Northcrest is a part of NZBrokers, this is a collaboration group of 54 NZ owned and operated professional insurance brokers. As part of this alliance we are able to leverage the strength and capability of the collective while retaining our own successful formula of personalised client service, local knowledge and long standing relationships developed from 30 years in the industry. All members of NZBrokers must belong to and meet the professional standards of the insurance Brokers Association of NZ (IBANZ)

Gerard is a second generation of the Tilleyshort family involved in the business and has 14 years’ experience in the industry. Gerard’s passion is in understanding your business needs and designing insurance packages to match.

Karla has 30 years in the insurance industry. Her experience and knowledge is a huge asset to our clients, and if you call through to the office and she picks up the phone chances are she will recognise your voice.
Jo
Lukic
After a successful career as an executive assistant Jo joined us in 2012. Her efficiency and speed bring enormous value to the office.
Faun-Lea
Stewart
Faun began her insurance career in 2010 working with Vero in Australia, Lumley in New Zealand and Classic Cover before coming to Northcrest. Faun manages most of our claims as well as providing backup and support across all other areas. Faun genuinely enjoys helping and will ensure you are well looked after.
